This quote as well as so many more inspired this painting.
Time flies, it seems like I am always trying to catch up with it. It occurred to me that perhaps the only creature to possibly have enough skill to capture time would have to be an owl.
In the dead of night or in some corner of some galaxy - I imagined time to be floating by like it always does in its little tick tock manner that weighs the patience of even the most well intentioned. Swaying back and forth in the mesmerizing lull of a stopwatch, ready to hypnotize passers by causing them to lose track of the finely skilled element of our imagination.
Suddenly out of nowhere the ultimate time predator appears - not even his heartbeat is detectable as the owl approaches his prey. With the owls super sense hearing it can find time wherever it goes. The feathers surrounding the owl's eyes act as a radar dish to zero in and consolidate time. Even in the darkness time can not allude the accuracy in which the owl's night vision collapses it into view.
Capturing time would be epic … the sharp talons of this hunter being the absolute best at crunching time.
